Join Friends of Autistic People
When you become a member of Friends of Autistic People, you are under no obligation to attend meetings, although we encourage you to do so for your own benefit. As a group, our lives have all been touched by autism and we are therefore uniquely qualified to serve as an emotional support system for each other.
We are also able to keep each other informed as information about autism evolves. Friends of Autistic People is proud to host lectures by experts in the field of autism -- a benefit for our group as well as a benefit for the community. After all, we can help to educate everyone on the issues that loom so large in lives. Without sharing our knowledge with others, how will we ever bring about change?
Change is coming, but not soon enough. If you're angry, then channel that anger into action. If you feel helpless, then do something to help to us all. Together, we can change the way autism affects our lives and the lives of our families. Together, we can have one voice. And together, we can make that voice very, very loud.
